The Healing Place

The Healing Place

The Healing Place project was completed in the fourth quarter of 2015. The site took a year and a half from conception to completion and would not have been possible without the support of the Honeoye Falls-Lima School Board, district leaders Superintendent Gene Mancuso and Deputy Superintendent Phil Burrows and the broader community. Many others are due thanks with the greatest being the families whose tragic losses were the genesis of the idea. These families came forward to support the project emotionally and financially throughout its development. Their support came mostly from a strong desire to share the site and its message with current and future students in the district. Their dedication to seeing things completed will be what I remember most. As a group, their interest lay with other parents' children who they did not know but cared for deeply. I took calls from them throughout the process in which they asked how things were going and how they could help ensure that we reached completion. What a powerful lesson for all of us and an embodiment of the site's message. I will count this project as one of the greatest achievements of my life. I am still amazed that the crude idea in my mind has turned into such a beautiful place.

I have assumed the role of the steward of the Healing Place message. I am working with Gene Mancuso and others in the district to ensure that the message becomes a part of the culture of the district, and particularly, the high school. Halleran Financial Group supports many important causes but this one has been a very personal one for me. I could not have done so without you, the client. If your travels take you through Honeoye Falls or if you know a young adult who could benefit from the message, please call me and I will meet you at the site.

Thank you for your trust and continued business,

John
